The 1997-2001 Honda Prelude (BB6) was one of the last non-K Series sportscars that Honda presented to us. The styling and performance of the H series make it a great enthusiast's car. As the car ages, so do the parts that once made it great. The Honda Prelude Shifter & Mount Upgrade was crafted to offer replacements for many of these components with OE replacements that provided excellent driver feedback and improved performance. The Prelude bundle was designed to make it easier for enthusiasts to find the products they need to transform their chassis from tired to tuned.

Increased Feel, Reduced Slop

Hybrid Racing shifter cables are a performance upgrade replacement for stock OEM cables. The solid rod ends, permanently lubricated core, spherical bearings, & aluminum end links give the Hybrid Racing cables a firmer, tighter feel over OEM cables resulting in fewer missed shifts and a more connected feel to the chassis. Heat resistant up to 225*F with a max bend radius of 5" (for optimum life) Other notable features of the Hybrid Racing cables are spherical bearings, stainless steel push rods, and upgraded stainless steel swivel support tubes (OEM are plastic) known to break on the OEM cables. All the rod ends and mounting bushings are CNC machined 6061 aluminum, then black anodized before being laser etched with the Hybrid Racing logo and flair.

Are these cables a direct replacement for my OEM Shifter Cables?

Yes! These shifter cables have been designed and tested to replace the factory Honda Prelude and Accord counterparts. Since Honda has discontinued most cables, these are a great option to improve the shifting feel of your transmission.

The performance of a shifter is everything. It can mean the difference between winning a race and missing a shift, and a high-quality shifter can make your car shift like a new, high-performance machine. Years ago, when we developed our first short shifter, we knew that the combination of quality parts and design would set the standard for shifting perfection. With over 15 years of experience in shifter manufacturing and design, we have applied all of our resources to develop the next generation of shifting bliss.

When it comes to adjustability, our shifter truly shines. Adjustments are a breeze and can give you many different options in terms of shift feel. With just the turn of a single 5mm Allen wrench, you can adjust your shift knob to be 10mm to 30mm taller than stock. With the same allen wrench, you can adjust the knob position, bringing it closer to or further from the steering wheel, meaning you can shift quickly and keep your hands on the wheel. Want your shifts a little shorter? This shifter can reduce throw anywhere from 20% to 40% (below stock throw). Gate spacing (left-right shifter motion) is also adjustable up to 5% shorter. If you like short throws and wide gates, long throws, narrow gates, or any other combination, you can custom tailor it to your preference.

One glance at our short shifter reveals a design that cuts no corners. The links feature full 6061-T6 aluminum construction with stainless steel ball bearings that are designed to provide quiet operation with no need for lubrication. The shift levers are made from stainless steel to avoid unsightly corrosion. The internal spring can also be swapped out for something stiffer/lighter so you can set the level of resistance you prefer.

Hybrid Racing Prelude Short Shifter Assembly. This easily installs in place of the factory shifter and is offered in Dust Black or Red for this bundle.
Hybrid Racing Prelude Shifter Cables. Direct, OE replacements with solid end links and a steel cable core.
Hybrid Racing Shifter Cable Bushings. These bushings are installed onto the factory or Hybrid Racing shifter cables to further remove negative feedback and excessive slop from the driveline.
Innovative Mounts Prelude Engine Mounts. Designed to work as factory replacement mounts, these are available in 75A Durometer.

If by any chance, your package that has been delivered by the carrier is lost/stolen, YOU (THE BUYER) are responsible for working with the carrier and us, Tri-State Motorsports to recover your package. You must contact us and the shipping company within 48 hours of delivery for lost/damage claims. You are covered by the basic insurance amount APPROVED by the shipping center. We DO NOT refund or reship product for claims that are denied by the shipping company.

When will my product ship out?

If you order an item that's on backorder, we will reach out with an estimated arrival time. Refunds are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Cancellations are subject to 10% cancellation/processing fee under no exceptions.

What's the Warranty on our products?

Unless the product is manufactured by Tri-State Motorsports or TSM Race, ALL Warranties go through the Manufacturer directly. Please visit their official website and get in contact with them in regards to your warranty. We will supply you with any invoice or tracking information the manufacturer asks you for.
